And the Worst Dress Award goes to...Salman Khan's ex

First thing that comes to our mind when looking at Sangeeta Bijlani in this picture is, what was she thinking when she chose this dress. Agreed, she wanted to wear something unique. But madam, there is a thin line between unique and weird and this dress blurs that line to no end. Yes, this dress is unique, you may have not seen it on anyone before and we bet, you’ll not see it even in the future. Cmon, it’s design is jarring to eyes. It’s too much of everything. Too much of sheer, too much of patterns. It gives an impression that it is the designer’s most ambitious design gone wrong.  

Surely all the A-listers may have rejected it and then, the creator sold it to Sangeeta. Even if the once-upon-a-time actress liked it, the HT’s Most Stylish Award was not the occasion to strut in it. Instead of looking stylish, she became a laughing stock for her detractors. Had there been an award category to shame the worst dressed personality, she would have won hands down.  

Soon after we recovered from the pang of this unsightly dress and our eyes darted to her ears, we were relieved. The only saving grace in her over all look for the award night was her designer earrings. Dangling from the centre piece, it’s pinnate leaf like pattern was a refreshing treat to eyes. Must say, good choice! About that dress, it should go in the syllabus of fashion schools for ‘how not to design a dress?’
