Despite deglam role, Sonam Kapoor’s styling cost Padman's producers a bomb

Sonam Kapoor is a fashion icon. With mere mention of her name, the flashes of her designer clothes, lavish jewellery, bags and shoes start playing in front of your eyes. The Neerja star has given fashion goals to not just her fans but also her contemporaries. But when it comes to her films, it’s a mixed bag of glamourous and not-so-glamourous roles and her character Rhea in Padman falls in the latter category. Does that mean, production house saved on the budget of Sonam’s look? Absolutely not.

Sonam Kapoor is having her fill of fashion through promotions. For the promotional outings, she has amped up the glamour quotient manifold. Literally making up for what she missed while filming the Akshay Kumar-starrer movie.

Her latest outing at Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Marathi Grand Finale saw her in a dual-tone metallic saree. It was a Hemant Agrawal creation that was draped around her neck in a deep V style. The colour-theme was maintained with a stunning pair of drop earrings, an exquisite bangles set and a trendy necklace. Her metallic look had gorgeous written all over it. Must say, she was the star attraction at the finale.

On the ramp, she was nothing short of a diva.
