Divyanka Tripathi rehashes Kangana Ranaut’s Haryanvi look

Recently Divyanka Tripathi was brought back to her Star Plus serial Yeh Hai Mohabattein. Now she is shown playing the role of a maid in the daily soap. For this part, the actress has gone a few tone darker, sports a Haryanvi look and speaks with that regional twang too. Although the actress pulled it off with élan, the idea of darkening the skin tone did not go down well with the trollers. They slammed her look on social media and various other platforms and triggered a fresh debate on – if dark skin is not beautiful.   

While it attracted a lot of hate comments on the internet, her Haryanvi look also reminded us of Datto, played by Kangana Ranaut in Tanu Weds Manu Returns. In the blockbuster film, Kangana had worn an out-and-out Haryanvi bridal dress that comprised of a collared white blouse, a blue lehenga and a matching chunari. Here in the TV show, Divyanka too is wearing something similar.

The only different you can see is in the jewellery designs and makes. Datto had sported this look for one of her wedding ceremonies and hence, adorned herself with a gold jewellery set. On the other hand, since Divyanka is playing a maid, she has sported silver jewellery.

Like it is said, haters gonna hate, Divyanka should ignore the trollers and keep up the amazing work that she has been doing all this while. More power to you, girl!
